Bet Am Shalom is about getting involved. It is who we are. It is how we get to know each other. It is how we serve our community and how we enhance our Jewish identity.
Our members participate in Shabbat services, run programs, teach classes, compose songs, write plays and organize social action projects. And other members simply get involved by serving on a committee, volunteering a few hours, or attending a program or class.
It is the energy and passion that each of us brings to the work that sustains our life as a community. We encourage new members to find their way into our community by getting involved ... in something! Read the brief descriptions on our site and then contact a group directly to volunteer, or contact the synagogue office at (914) 946-8851. We can help you find an activity that's right for you.
