For Grades 5 & 6:

Youth Advisor: Danny Ori

Danny is originally from Kfar Saba, Israel and is in his fourth year teaching at BAS.  He currently teaches 6th grade.  Danny is a graduate of the Rimon School of music in Ramat Hasharon, Israel, as well as Berklee College of music in Boston. He has taught at schools such as Solomon Schechter Manhattan and Maimonides Elementary in Boston to name a few. Danny has much experience working with early teens and young adults and has been an educator for more than ten years.

The Bet Am Shalom Youth Group meets monthly on Sundays from 11:30am-1pm with lunch.

On April 20, 2012 we will have a combined Youth Group Program/Family Shabbat dinner.  After school on 4/20/12, fourth-sixth graders and parent/grandparent volunteers will cook a Shabbat dinner.  We'll participate in a Kabbalat Shabbat Service, after which we'll enjoy the Shabbat dinner that we created!  4th graders are invited to this event to check out our youth programs.

May 4-6: BAS 5th & 6th graders are invited to a weekend retreat at Camp JRF with 5th & 6th graders from many other Reconstructionist congregations!
