Lisa Goldberg has worked in the not-for-profit sector throughout her career; most recently as Executive Director at Temple Israel in Westport, CT.  She has also held the positions of Executive Director of Community Synagogue in Rye, Administrator at Westchester Jewish Center in Mamaroneck, Associate Executive Director at the Rosenthal Jewish Community Center in Pleasantville, Director of Recreation, Nutrition and Child Life at Gay Men’s Health Crisis in New York City, and Director of Adult and Older Adult services for the Central Queens YM-YWHA.

Lisa earned a B.A. in Psychology from Clark University, an MSW from Yeshiva University, and post-graduate certifications in Administration and Not-for-Profit Management from Hunter College School of Social Work, and from the UJA Federation/Columbia University School of Business leadership training institute.

Lisa is fluent in Hebrew and has lived in and traveled extensively to Israel. She has also led teen tours there.

Her son, Joshua, is a graduate of the Bet Am Shalom Torah La’am program.  

She loves reading, hiking, Israeli folk dance, and music of all kinds.
