Acharei Kiddush: Parade Unrest – The Confederate Monument Controversy

Our Bet Am congregant and documentary photographer, Robert Kalman, will share photographs from his recently published book, Parade Unrest – The Confederate Monument Controversy and recount the visual story of the controversy, embodied by the monuments themselves.Robert Kalman has been a documentary photographer for over 40 years; his work has been presented in solo exhibitions and juried group shows throughout the United States. In addition to his book on Confederate monuments, he has published two books on villagers in Nicaragua, interracial couples, indigenous Panamanians, lesbians, and, most recently Trump flags. He is an active member of Soho Photo Gallery in New York City.
