BAS Community Social Action Program

We Can Fight Hunger Together! All ages are invited.

Build “can”struction projects to inspire others to fight hunger

  • learn Jewish values about hunger with Rabbi Bronstein
  • make apple muffins for the Open Arms shelter
  • assemble trail mix for food distribution at El Centro Hispano
  • decorate lunch bags for Midnight Run
  • create posters with Jewish texts on responding to hunger
  • meet BAS volunteer project leaders who work to address hunger
  • build connections with BAS members of all ages

Bet Am Shalom children in grades 2-6 can attend the program with or without their parents.  Parents or grandparents can bring younger children to the program.

Bring food to support the Bet Am Shalom Corners of Our Fields Food Drive
Food donations needed: canned fish (tuna, salmon, sardines), 14 oz. boxes of cereal or oatmeal, boxed pasta or rice, canned fruit or vegetables, vegetarian soup, peanut butter.
