Bet Amateurs--Youth Theater

Bet Amateurs
We are a teen-directed theater group and Social Action chevra for 6th-12th graders here at Bet Am Shalom.

Since 2001 we have written, produced, directed and starred in numerous theater productions. The shows range from original scripts, like the comedies Talmudic Vaudeville, Samsonator and Shtick, to serious drama, like Anne Frank: A Meditation and classics like Spoon River Anthology and musicals like Little Shop of Horrors, the Wizard of Oz and Cinderella.

The BAS TEEN THEATER donates the proceeds from our shows to a variety of charities. We have raised thousands of dollars!

This year Bet Amateurs will donate the proceeds to Charity: Water - a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Private donors cover our operating costs so 100% of your money can fund water projects.

Contact Martha Lichtblau for more information.

This winter we will perform The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. A musical comedy you don't want to miss. An eclectic group of mid-pubescent students vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime.
