Nuanced Views of Abortion in Classical Jewish Sources

June 29 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

The United States Supreme Court seems poised to eliminate the Constitutional right to choose abortion in favor of state authority over a woman’s decision. Contrary to political arguments that a single “religious” view compels the most restrictive, anti-choice position, our classical Jewish sources actually reflect many different perspectives and nuanced understandings relating to the decision to terminate a pregnancy.

Join Eric Levine for an unpacking of the Biblical and Rabbinic sources.

Hybrid (in person and on Zoom).
