Industry has started to understand what scientists have long been saying, that carbon emissions pose a real threat. As a consequence, the right to continue emitting CO2, in the form of carbon allowances, has become a hot commodity with its own market.
Marc Garfinkle, of Carbon Point Partners, wiIl explain how allowance trading works as a market and as a force for good. The topic is related to cap-and-trade and carbon tax mechanisms.
Marc is a member of Beth El in Chappaqua, and a member of Dayenu, the Jewish Call to Climate Action. He has his own investment company called Carbon Point Partners. He loves to explain what the carbon market is and how his work helps us reach sustainability.
