Live Concert

July 22, 2021 at 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Songs of freedom, rebellion, celebration, tradition, independence, loss, hope, decay and renewal – this is the music of Sam Sadigursky’s The Solomon Diaries. Originally inspired by the peculiar history and modern remnants of the Borscht Belt, these songs took on a new meaning in the wake of the global pandemic, which will indelibly leave its own mark for generations to come.

Clarinetist Sam Sadigursky, who was featured on stage in the Tony and Grammy Award-winning The Band’s Visit and most recently became a member of the Philip Glass Ensemble, presents his unique brand of Jewish music, bringing together an eclectic mix of tradition, improvisation and global influences. He’s joined by accordionist and multi-instrumentalist Nathan Koci, most recently music director of Daniel Fish’s acclaimed Broadway production of Oklahoma!.

Attendees are required to be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination must be sent to executivedirector@betamshalom.org.

Doors open at 7:30 pm for pre-concert wine and snacks and shmoozing.
Concert begins at 8:00 pm.
