BAS Together: Torah of Star Trek

Join our hevruta, with phasers on stun, as we study the canonical Tanakh of its 10 TV series and 13 feature films, along with midrashic commentary by philosophers, ethicists, and others. We’ll discuss what Star Trek teaches us about living a moral and ethical life. (Note: Trekker status is not required, but it definitely helps.) As Ben Bag Bag said (in the original Klingon, of course), “Tlhe’ ‘oH; ej tlhe’ ‘oH; pagh Hur ‘oH.”
David Lerner has been a Trekker since Bereshit itself (September 8, 1966). He and his wife, Nancy have been BAS members for 10 years.
