Women in the Bible Through a Midrashic Lens

A five-part Sunday morning summer series, each session discussing how ancient and modern Midrash have understood a particular woman or group of women described in the Bible.  Each session has a unique topic, is free-standing and does not require any background on the subject or attendance at other sessions.

All materials will be in English.

Format will be hybrid (in person and Zoom).
Registration for the series is required for both in-person and virtual attendees.
Please see the Members side of the website for registration information.
In-person attendees must provide evidence of vaccination and boosters to the Synagogue office.

Topics are as follows:
June 12 – Introduction to Midrash and Stories of Women of the Exodus
June 26 – Lot’s Wife and Daughters (Zoom Only)
July 10 – Serach bat Asher
July 24 – Rachel and Leah
August 21 – Hannah
