Concert and Schmoozing
During the evening of Thursday, July 22, 2021, the music of Sam Sadigursky’s “The Solomon Diaries” was heard after pre-concert wine, snacks and schmoozing at BAS. Clarinetist Sadigursky was previously featured in The Band’s Visit and has become a member of the Philip Glass Ensemble. He presented his unique brand of Jewish music, bringing together an eclectic mix of tradition, improvisation and global influences. He was joined by accordionist Nathan Koci, who was recently musical director of Daniel Fish’s Broadway production of Oklahoma!.
