Join Us for the High Holy Days

Come share the holidays with us.

We warmly welcome you to share the High Holy Days with us at Bet Am Shalom.

We welcome all generations, religious backgrounds, including interfaith families, empty nesters, singles, LGBTQ, the scholarly and observant, and those new to Judaism.

Our services are open to the public  -- no one is turned away. When you come into our beautiful service, you will find a distinctive openness and spirituality, as we mark the traditional rituals of the Days of Awe. It’s an environment of inspiration, welcome, community, and song.  Key things you need to know:

Our services are open to the public.  You do not need tickets, but please register (see below). We need and appreciate your generous donations too.

  • We have a great child-friendly family service, babysitting, and childrens’ activities on both mornings of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur morning
  • Services are highly participatory
  • We worship – literally - in an open tent on our park-like grounds. The tent is rain-proof and has heaters for chilly weather

All guests should register in advance if possible – this helps us plan to have enough chairs and books for everyone. 1. Seniors on a limited, fixed income and students attending local colleges:  We welcome you without any expectation of a donation, but we ask you to register. Fixed-income seniors and non-member college students click here to register without donating.
  2. Most non-members (excluding seniors and college students):  We request a donation for each guest of $360/person for all Days of Awe Services, or $180/person for Rosh Hashanah Day 1 & 2 and $180/person for both Kol Nidrey & Yom Kippur, if you are able, to help us sustain our Open Tent. If you decide to become a member of Bet Am Shalom during this membership year, the monies you send for High Holy Day attendance will be applied toward your membership dues. Please submit donation below or click here for mail-in form.
  3. Registration is required for babysitting. Please email the office with your child’s name and age and the services they will be at.
  4. Membership dues are on a sliding scale, so if you are interested in joining our community, which includes free High Holy Day services for your family, please email us at If you enroll a K-2 child in our Jewish education program then membership is free for new families.
