Midnight Run

August 25, 2018 - 7:30pm

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Midnight Run brings clothing, food, and a little dignified companionship to homeless people living on the streets of Manhattan.

Bet Am Shalom is one of many Westchester houses of worship and civic groups that sign up for routes and dates. We generally participate once every quarter, on a Saturday night.

Preparations will take place at 7:30 pm at BAS.
Donations should be dropped off at 7:15 p.m.

WE MUST KNOW IN ADVANCE who will be bringing what food and supplies for the run, who will be doing prep, and who will be driving/going on the Run.

  • Sort clothes and make sandwiches On the night of the Run, come to BAS to help from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. This is a great family activity for teens in 7th grade and above and their parents.
  • Go on the Run: We need two cars and drivers and nine more people
(Kids must be 8th grade+ with an adult) to go down to the city and distribute food, clothing, and a little compassionate company. Arrive at BAS at 8:30 PM; return about 2 AM.
  • Clean up on Sunday, August 26 at noon. 2 people help us store what's left and clean up.
If dropped off prior to the Run, please mark clothing for Midnight Run and leave them in the BAS lobby bin labeled Midnight Run. Must be received by 7:15 PM, August 25
