How to donate Appreciated Securities
- One of the most advantageous ways to contribute to Bet Am Shalom during your lifetime is through a gift of securities. Making a gift of securities is simple and offers a number of valuable benefits.
- You can donate appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual funds shares.
- The total value of the assets upon transfer is a tax-deductible contribution and there are no capital gains taxes due on the appreciation of the donated securities.
- If you would like to make a donation of securities, please contact Lisa Goldberg at executivedirector@betamshalom.org
- If you direct securities to Bet Am Shalom for payment of dues, tuition or other charges, or donations, please let the office know to expect the payment from your financial institution and how you would like it applied to your account.
