Using Zoom Effectively to Host a Virtual Seder via Zoom

April 6, 2020 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

If you are considering hosting a virtual seder this year, this prep session will introduce you to using Zoom effectively for this purpose.BAS member Eric Levine has been developing this over the past couple of weeks and has run a couple of tests with his own family. In this session, he’ll be explaining what the program can do well at a seder and what its limitations are. He will offer tips and suggestions for having an effective virtual seder.Note: the focus will on hosting the Zoom seder, not just participating in one.Prerequisites:In order to participate in this class, it would be best if you have the Zoom software or app loaded on the device you will have at your seder table. Laptops are preferable, but tablets work too. You don’t need a Zoom account to do this class, but you will need one  to host your seder. (We’ll cover during the session whether you will need just the free version.)Also, it will make your Seder easier if your participants have either a paper copy or a pdf of the parts of the Haggadah you intend to use. Consider circulating that material this week.FOR BAS MEMBERS ONLY.For Zoom link and any questions email Eric.
