I'm looking for websites that will give me ideas for classroom games/arts and crafts. Right now I am teaching third graders.

Passover videos

All SO ENTERTAINING. The creators are brilliant. The Best one EVER was the story of MOSES, called BASKET BABY--I saved if for several years and my computer acted up and I lost everything. Google Exodus has a few of the brilliant lines from B. Baby. Thank you everyone that worked on these videos,

LOL SENT FROM MY IPOD

(523) Amanda, April 12, 2012 3:30 AM

(522) a sem girl, April 9, 2012 12:41 PM

(519) Anonymous, April 6, 2012 4:43 AM

(517) David, April 5, 2012 8:04 PM

Cool Passover Video

I found this additional video that's similar. Check it out. www.bestkindoflife.com/passover-message

(516) Anonymous, April 5, 2012 3:39 PM

Absolutely delightful!

This is probably the most charming Exodus story I've ever seen. I'm expecting a grandson soon and I'm going to save this for him so he can see it when he's old enough. Lovely!

(515) Katrina Kaiser, April 5, 2012 2:26 PM

Facebook does have it's perks

I'm not a facebook person, but if it's good enough for Moses, oI can gie it a try. You can never have too many friends. Of course you don't necessarily get to really know many of them, but it's nice to have the connection. It does have its perks. I'll mule it over. In the mean time, I saw this video last year, and I still love it. It's very original. You have some very talented people working at Aish. Kol Hakovod and Good Yom Tov.

paula, April 6, 2012 6:42 AM

about friends

Actually, you can make great friends on fb, and can get to know us as closely as you wish. Its also a great way to keep up with family and friends and classmates. Meeting new friends is one of the joys of facebook. You will love it. Paula

(514) Sandt, April 4, 2012 6:18 PM

(510) Aliza Joyce Freda, April 1, 2012 7:47 PM

I really enjoy the videos and articles from this site

Some are amusing, some are insightful , and some are tragic with hope laced through it.

(509) Marshall Nolan, April 1, 2012 6:31 PM

I normally don't ever comment, but this was really so cool that my media-oriented number 3 son would be so impressed.

(508) Mary, April 1, 2012 3:54 PM

Basket Basket

So glad it is back-I remember from lat year.I sent it to all my e mail buddies. It is brillialent and one to keep in your folder. Thank you Aish.

(507) Ekpe, March 31, 2012 2:40 PM

VERY INTERESTING

This is very interesting and exhilarating, presented in modern analogy. Am sure our kids would love it, as it retells the story using sms, email, chat, and facebook formats-the current mode of communication.

(506) zehavit, March 30, 2012 11:48 AM

really good!!!

great video!!!!!!!

(505) Gail, March 30, 2012 6:22 AM

absolutely brilliant - toda raba

(504) Inge Malka Johnson, March 30, 2012 2:16 AM

That was great.

I will share this friends, especially computer geeks.

Anonymous, March 30, 2012 2:52 PM

I enjoyed it too but your sharp-eyed computer geek friends might pick up on Pharaoh's email address, according to which Egypt was a department of the US government... (pharaoh@gov.eg would have been more correct)

(503) Elinoy, March 29, 2012 10:25 PM

This video rocks!!! Whoever made this must really be a facebook lover!!!

(502) Dvorah, March 28, 2012 6:32 PM

Brilliant!

It doesn't get any better! Thanks Aish Hatorah! You all don't leave a stone unturned when you tell a story and always make it fun to hear, easy to remember and very entertaining!

(501) Dewbby, March 28, 2012 6:26 PM

Too clever for words

This was so cute - what an awesome job - kudos to its creator, and best wishes for a super Passover holiday!

(500) Eilat, March 27, 2012 7:31 PM

Enjoy! :)

(499) helen Schwab (Chaiah), March 27, 2012 6:20 AM

worth re-watching!

so good I came back to see it again this year!!

(498) Ann Koffsky, March 27, 2012 2:09 AM

LOVE THIS!!!! This is so great--I included it with my "top 10 Passover links" over on my blog. Thanks for such great original content! (you can see the other 9 at http://annkoffsky.com/2012/03/26/top-10-passover-links/)

(497) richard, March 26, 2012 2:04 PM

Very cleverly done!

Not much more to say...CLEVER! Have a very happy and kosher Pesach!

(496) eva, March 25, 2012 10:10 PM

This is brilliant. Also, appropriate, since the Jews have been in the forefront of technological inventions, especially Israel!!

(495) Israella, March 25, 2012 7:16 PM

Pharoh and facebook

Great presentation so all can understand easily and it really makes a point. Kids will enjoy this too.

(494) Atumo, March 22, 2012 6:39 AM

If moses nd pharaoh is on fcb, they may be frnds.

(493) Naomi, March 20, 2012 2:29 PM

"never new Paroh would like facebook"

meybe Moses had facebook

(492) D.K., March 19, 2012 8:50 PM

Ha Ha Ha

Wow. I find it very funny that Moshe has Facebook and Google accounts. If you make a sequel, could he have an Aish.com account too?

(491) Eliada Israel, March 18, 2012 2:36 PM

Moshe Rabbenu was in facebook. All the then world power had Moshe's miracles and fame, and fear of G-d of Israel griped them.Wasn't that, even more than facebook?

(490) Wassim, March 18, 2012 1:54 PM

Laughing on the inside :-)

Guys, you left out Wikipedia and Aish.com. Moses has to do a lot of research and he still needs to consult the older Jewish Sages on a regular basis. ;-)

(489) Menucha Rochel, March 14, 2012 10:42 PM

It would be cool if Moses had facebook!!!!!

I wonder, if Pharaoh had he would most likely break his iphone. Why? because he will be mad that Moses for sending him and his people many plaques

(488) Anonymous, March 14, 2012 7:34 PM

very funny

moshe with facebook and google, the funniest thing ever

(479) Anonymous, June 29, 2011 8:44 PM

Totally love it :)

Not only did we all love it but the RE teacher thought it was so good he showed it to the whole class most of whom are not Jewish abd they really enjoyed it

(478) Chaplain Francis, June 7, 2011 10:30 PM

I now have a fresh understanding....

I love that creativity at Aish.com. However, is there a way to slow the video down?

(477) Anonymous, May 12, 2011 4:07 PM

Genius! More, more!

(476) Joshua Casper`, May 10, 2011 8:53 PM

Dayanu, Bayou Style

Not only do I dig Mo texting G-d from his I-phone, but you gotta like the jazz version of Dayanu lol.

(475) Charles Sachs, May 8, 2011 5:42 PM

Then and now, the reality.

Just imagine if Mo came down from the mountain and held up a CD and said, "Here's the 50,000 commandments." Would there be anything we could or could not do? Great clip. Was LOL crossing the Red Sea.

(474) SHARON, May 5, 2011 7:06 AM

Gr8 Imagination..

Gr8 imagination and creativity on display.. not to forget clever wit.

An interesting point about the hieroglyphs translation in this video!

See this comment about it from a hieroglyphs scholar: http://www.hieroglyphsmatter.com/?p=266

(469) DUCARAJAKOV, April 29, 2011 7:41 PM

SHALOM ISRAEL

(468) Dave, April 28, 2011 6:55 PM

Moses must have been a fast reader!

(467) lisa, April 28, 2011 4:34 PM

Wow

omg this like totally rox!!!!!!! i think you should do more cute funny things like this

(464) Zach, April 27, 2011 6:33 AM

Torah? You mean Ten Commandments?

I'm pretty sure that last scene with the Sinai Facebook event should be "Let's get the Ten Commandments!" instead of "Let's get the Torah!"... But funny and great overall.

(463) Richard A. Krug, April 26, 2011 7:39 PM

This is so cool

(462) Alicia, April 26, 2011 2:29 PM

(459) sarah Citron, April 23, 2011 11:36 PM

Wonderful!!!

Can you play this slower? I think more people could enjoy it that way. I'd be happy to donate if I could understand it better.

(458) Arslan Arshad Solomon, April 23, 2011 8:25 PM

I think its the start of the B.. I... ???

We all know that Moses and G_d don't need any electronic Face book, because to the Lord Almighty "every face is an open book" :))).

(457) Jerome Weingart, April 23, 2011 8:18 PM

Brilliant!!!

If there were an Academy Award for on-line short subjects, this would get the award for sure. I love it, and the music is awesome.

(456) TCHner, April 23, 2011 6:54 PM

Forsooth, Shawn! I did'st enjoy!

Forsooth, Shawn! I did'st enjoy!

(455) Linda Sugano, April 23, 2011 2:42 AM

funny

I am so proud of Moses that he was successful without all of the modern day acoutrements, but they sure would have come in handy. What about a plague of computer viruses?

(454) Anonymous, April 22, 2011 6:28 PM

That was AWESOME

Well done. Hag Sameach!

(453) santhiago, April 22, 2011 9:46 AM

Hilarious

I paused it as it went along and had tears streaming down my face I was laughing so hard. Wish my alter kacher papa was still around to enjoy (much less relate to the hi tech world). He read Hebrew.

(446) Ingrid Bengis Palei, April 21, 2011 2:17 PM

Love it. Invite me to your seder next year, please.

This is living proof that Judaism has the chutzpah it needs to survive in the 21st century. Hoorah!

(434) Frances, April 20, 2011 12:46 AM

It is very clever and funny

Thanks I needed that laugh. Very good. I have had to watch it a few times though because it is so fast. I am getting slower as I get old. :) The Headlines about Pharaoh Enslaves Jews followed by World leaders Condemn Israel is spot on. Happy Pesach

(433) Rosalia Johnson, April 19, 2011 11:46 PM

Celebrated with my good friend and had a delicious meal. Happy Passover everyone! So nice to hear from you Tony. Rosa

(427) Sydney Keegan, April 19, 2011 6:38 AM

Fabulously funny!

It went by so fast I couldn't read all the clever details, like Pharaoh's address. Wish I could see it in slow motion.

Moira, April 19, 2011 10:40 PM

It's nice to have the freedom to pause and appreciate it.

Since it's a utube video, you can hit the play and pause buttons to stop the action and see more details - quite the Cliff Notes version of the Exodus [ :-)

Debbie, April 21, 2011 4:36 PM

to slow it down

Hi Sydney. I had the same problem. Just click on the go or the pause button to stop the video and read the details, then click again to go.

(426) Linda Hammer, April 19, 2011 4:52 AM

Very creative! Awesome!

Very Creative!

(423) 40licious, April 18, 2011 10:36 PM

Tech shift

And to think they organized the original with no cell phones or Internet. We can't even go to the movies without technological intervention.

(422) Anonymous, April 18, 2011 7:36 PM

Very modern

(410) Mila Chesney, April 17, 2011 7:03 PM

WOW!

I loooveee it!

(409) Miriam, April 17, 2011 6:46 PM

Moses

I suppose that he would be able to facebook America for help.

(408) Karen, April 17, 2011 3:32 PM

Suggestion for Moses

I got a kick out of the Passover video, but I have one comment. Maybe Moses could have gotten the Pharoh's attention faster if he had sent a plague of computer viruses Throughout the land of Egypt.

(407) Art, April 17, 2011 2:48 PM

Red Sea - street view - says it all.

Cute integration of modern screen media with historical events. Good demonstration that excessive speed can threaten significance. Something for us to keep in mind today. Nonetheless, much enjoyed the Red Sea in street view - for which we have to thank movie animators of 40 or 50 years ago.

(406) Dafna, April 17, 2011 10:53 AM

I send it to all my friends I love it! Chag Pesach Sameach from Amsterdam!!

(398) Anonymous, April 15, 2011 10:35 PM

Too Fast but Too Funny!

Yeah, it's a little quick, hence, my third time watching it! But the humor is absolutely amazing and I love th clicking sound effects....you know, if it was slower, it wouldn't have the same "instant, nowadays" affect.

(397) Anonymous, April 15, 2011 10:05 PM

Well done

This was very entertaining as well as informative. I think everybody should see this video to gain a greater understanding of the distant past, the past and the current situation facing us today.

(396) Claire, April 15, 2011 9:08 PM

Very well done..really enjoyed the humor..

(395) Russ, April 15, 2011 7:40 PM

Wonderful......

To those who think the site moves too quickly.... See it again.....and CLICK ON THE MOVING CURSOR TO STOP THE MOVEMENT.... Or.....be religious and watch it for eight days!

(394) schmom, April 15, 2011 7:15 PM

hilarious!

the funniest video i have seen in ages! i've watched it 3 times to catch all the extras like "People who bought plagues also bought lice...boils.." AISH once again manages to be topical and interesting as well as religious.

Modern day Faroah

May Tutu, the UNHRC , Ban Moon, Goldstone, all enjoy the 10 plagues. Then the Jews can celebrate a modern day Passover. Chg Semeach

(390) Stan, April 15, 2011 3:14 PM

A wonderful compilation, using virtually all of the Internet's idiosyncrasies.

(389) Anonymous, April 15, 2011 3:08 PM

I just watched this video and i could not stop laughing great job and a Yasher Koach to whoever thought of this and to whoever put this together

(388) robert kreamer, April 15, 2011 2:51 PM

I thought the first portion = with the world condemming Israel was SUPERB!

judy, April 20, 2011 7:31 PM

very very good

D'accord re: "world condemns Israel". Excellent humor through out. Kol hakavod to all who worked on this media.

(387) Searle, April 15, 2011 1:04 PM

Superb!

I think it was great! Loved it. For those who find it too quick - pause/rewind/rewatch.

(386) chanarochel, April 15, 2011 7:59 AM

It's quick because that's life today...

Brilliant. The pace reflects how we live; it's just right. (So you go back and watch it again. It's worth it.) My favorite laugh: Number of first-born club members receding to 0. I would've added a second "S" to "desert," followed by a backspace deletion, but then again, the darn thing is perfect as-is. I LOVED it. Thanks for the delight.

(385) maurice robin, April 15, 2011 6:52 AM

too quick

A clever idea but too faST TO BE ABSORBED PROPERLY. sLOW IT DOWN

(384) Yehudis, April 15, 2011 4:39 AM

Very Clever - Chag Kasher Vesamayach to Klal Yisrael

Two comments: At :31 Translations available in only 59 languages -- shouldn't there be 70? At 1:34 "No time for baking, grab the matzah" via Twitter is dated Feb 6 -- shouldn't date be later? Say, April 1 or 13 Nisan?

(383) Ross, April 15, 2011 4:12 AM

Funny!!

Hilarious! A bit slower please.

(382) Cheryl A, April 15, 2011 2:56 AM

The most clever and amazing 2 minute video I have ever seen. I do wish it would go a bit slower so I could have a chance to read all the the clever remarks!

(381) mindy kk, April 15, 2011 1:11 AM

a laugh a minute-just what we needed to help get ready f/Pesach

I kept watching it over & over again. Kept pausing to catch all the clever details. Continue with your great work !!

(380) Anonymous, April 14, 2011 8:45 PM

haha! i love it! make more!

(379) Anonymous, April 14, 2011 8:17 PM

That would be funny!

That would be very funny. To even think of that is interesting because Moses is so old fashioned and now that we have computers, you would never think of Moses to have one. Now, granted he's dead, but if he were alive and well, he probably would have one. Either a facebook or a twitter!!

(378) EK, April 14, 2011 8:12 PM

awesome awesome!!

who is the creator of this so awesome!!! thank you!!

(377) George Brody, April 14, 2011 8:09 PM

(374) Manasseh, April 14, 2011 6:24 PM

someone is really creative

It was really funny but right on the text

(373) Nava, April 14, 2011 4:16 PM

This clip makes me so proud to be Jewish. The high tech used to retell the story that has formed the Nation of the Jewish people. Is it beyond some peoples imagination that Moses wouldn't of used the Internet, if it existed in his time? Sure he would of, no different than we do, using the new tech to spread the word of God. I love the speed of it, it correlates with our fast pace life we live in. The most important message parts are slower, you get the point of the message. Was perfect for the mood I'm in for this Passover. I watch it everyday first thing in the morning to jump start my day for the Holidays. Thanks for producing such up-to-date material, that can be relatable today as it was back then. Happy Passover!

(372) Robert Goldman, April 14, 2011 3:00 PM

Sweeeeeeeeeeeet

sort of like those history for dummies books... not bad. the guys that made it deserve a bonus1

(371) Daniel, April 14, 2011 2:00 PM

Funny!

I thought it was really great and funny! I would have appreciated if you made it a little slower. I also noticed that in the beginning he was using a PC and towards the end he starts using a Mac. Overall it was very good!

Great

No messing around here with the Chosen ones !!!

(363) J. Sarayda Shapiro, April 14, 2011 4:29 AM

Very funny & great detail work!

The details are great! (Hit the pause button to read them.) CNN Headline: "Possible ban on straw." Facebook: "Moses and Jethro are now friends." (But wouldn't Moses have gotten a better price on frogs if he shopped eBay?) As for the CNN Headline, "Pharaoh Enslaves Jews; World Leaders Condemn Israel" (at timestamp 0:06), I guess not much has changed in 4000 years!

(362) dalia, April 14, 2011 2:56 AM

(354) Wallis Mayers, April 13, 2011 11:16 PM

great

especially music

(353) MarkusKublin, April 13, 2011 10:59 PM

I hope your video inspires a fun and meaningful Pesach for all who see it!

If Moshe Rabbeinu had had a Seychel-Phone, it might have sped up our deliverance from bondage. If we had today's technology at the the Exodus, we could have guaranteed that everyone sang the right words to The Song at the Sea by texting them to everyone. Want to eat the Paschal lamb and walk out of Egypt with all its gold and treasures? There's an app for that. Great video, great idea - clever and well executed. I hope it gets 12 million hits on JewTube. Yasher Koach, and Chag Sameach!

(352) Christine, April 13, 2011 10:33 PM

Happy wonderful Passover!!

Thanks, Martha, that was lots of fun..I'm gonna send it on to everybody!

what IF Moses came back? What IF we all came back? What IF? I love this little video. We're all on the WEB these days, as deeply, as interconnected, as it gets. And WEB is also for sweet Charlotte and EB White's children's book. Life is truly, a Webbed FEAT. Isn't it, just, DUCKY?

What if Moses had a tape recorder or DVR?

Would there have been the Oral Law, or "Torat baal peh?"

(263) terrybovee, April 10, 2011 3:25 PM

WOW

That was Awesome!! Show more like it!!

Reverance for G-d?

That's the only thing about it...I was wondering about the "reverence for G-d" when He did this amazing thing on behalf of His chosen people.

(260) Sara Fryd, April 10, 2011 1:51 PM

Fantastic!

Outstanding. Simply fantastic greeting. Happy Passover to you as well. And thank you to the people who created this amazing video.

(259) Harry Pearle, April 10, 2011 1:20 PM

Google Exodus TURNED ME OFF !!!

This is a very clever video, BUT it trivializes Pesach observance. So, perhaps this is a great lesson. Our instant everything high tech world can wipe out the experience of Torah observance IF we take it the wrong way... It surprises me that other people commenting on this video are not picking up on this, too... When we celebrate the Exodus at Pesach, we are not to observe it in a DETACHED way. That is the way of the EVIL SON. We should try to feel that we actually lived through it ourselves...In fact, we are to remember the Exodus ALL the days of our lives...Each of us has his or her own struggles, our own enslavement. Collectively, we are still enslaved in Golos. So, I think you for bringing this to my attention, in this novel video. La Shana Haba... Harry

sivya, April 10, 2011 3:37 PM

I thought I was the only one who saw that as I watched the video. While we could use humor, we should also realize our suffering during that time and that is what we are paying tribut to. Sivya....Jewish

Trivializing Pesach

I agree with you 1001%

Anonymous, April 13, 2011 6:15 AM

trivializes pesach observance?! how many Jews know what pesach is these days, and/or adhere to its observance!?! Thank goodness for videos like this that remind us Jews that passover is around the corner, and its a special time for the Jewish people. How can you celebrate pesach in a "non-detached" way, when the majority of the Jewish world wont be at a proper sedar?! perhaps that's the answer as to why we ARE STILL IN GALUS. Instead of these negative comments, try to do something that will TURN SOMEONE ELSE ON, and not knock down others already succeeding in doing so.

(258) steve wagner, April 10, 2011 12:10 PM

PLEASE WATCH THIS

THIS WAS GREAT!! I LOVED IT,,YOU WILL REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF YOU ARE OF THE JEWISH HERITAGE..PLEASE EVERYONE WATCH IT, PASS IT ALONG & LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF IT

Same old victimization claptrap

CNN title is the same one used every time Israel bombs Gaza or builds yet another illegal, immoral settlement. Where are the Hebrew prophets when we need them? Often killed in ancient times, nowadays run down by an Israeli tank.

Richard, April 10, 2011 5:33 PM

it's called Irony, you loon!

You know - where a horrible act is afflicted on people in a school, a pizza parlor or asleep in their beds and ghouls like you (and folks with your world-view) condemn the victims, and exalt the perpetrators.

Lynn, April 10, 2011 5:50 PM

Same old victimization claptrap indeed!

Mark: Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Your summary applies to YOU!

Brilliant, but why Yahoo Answers?? Answers.com is a blue-and-white site, founded in Jerusalem!

(256) ShaunDarius, April 10, 2011 8:46 AM

Your Passover Video from AISH.com

I can't quite explain it, but it made me cry - real tears. Somehow, underneath the jazzy, upbeat music and the very witty graphics, I felt my heart engaged. The real Passover story continues to reverberate into the present, and far on, into the unknown future of the still tumultuous Middle East. Thank you so very much for creating this timely video!

(255) Diane, April 10, 2011 5:06 AM

Moses’ Facebook Answers From God Respectfully

He asks God to let his people go you see. God tells Moses things while teaching him lessons that are fair- Such lessons are learned successfully by Moses/our people everywhere. The Passover story with Moses’ and God’s Facebook twist is entertaining- All the rites of Passover are discussed nothing lacking is pertaining! Showing us the knowledge that Moses’ via Facebook could know- This Aish twist I do love so very much so. It’s great for people who love their Facebook news- That need their ‘Facebook fix’ seeing this how can they refuse? Can this be permanent for Aish’s education for the annual Passover holiday? So viewers can enjoy it again and again in every way.

relevance

Hey Isreal, maybe a good time to think about letting the people of palestine have their land back.

Anonymous, April 10, 2011 1:50 AM

Mr

The people of Palestine have been the Jews for thousands of years. Look at a map...Israel is a tiny piece of land,7 million people, surrounded by many large Arab Muslim countries, 1.5 Billion people, who are bent on killing and wiping Israel from the face of the earth. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!

(231) Meibe Villumsen, April 9, 2011 4:54 AM

not even funny

this is the most rediculous thing i have seen. its an insult to God.

Anonymous, April 13, 2011 6:06 AM

i think its an insult to G-d that 90% of Jews don't know what shabbat is. so before you slam something as an 'insult to G-d' dont harp on the people trying to change that. DO SOMETHING!

(222) doug gallant, April 9, 2011 12:26 AM

so creative

That was incredibly creative. I loved it and am forwarding to all my Jewish friends

One view isn't dayenu!

No matter how many times I see this, there's always something delightful to discover. For instance, at 1:02, check out who's selling the frogs. Kol hakavod! I could watch this over and over, and not catch all the goodies.

(207) Anonymous, April 8, 2011 6:03 PM

Yes, paused every second to read what was on the page. What work went into this, to the very last details. Very impressed!

(206) Jim the Baptist, April 8, 2011 5:53 PM

What a hoot!

This was funny, slick and very entertaining to someone who is a student of the Pentateuch . I was led to this site by a friend of mine. What a delight it has been to wander thru all of the interesting topics and read about things I have been drawn to all my life. There is something special about the Jewish culture, the nation of Israel and Judaism in general. As a small boy growing up in a rural southern community, I was taught in Sunday School that Jews are chosen people and that the U.S. should never turn our backs on the nation of Israel.

(205) Yael, April 8, 2011 5:15 PM

Great one !

I love it big time ! Kudos and more kudos to whoever made this video; I forwarded it to several friends- everyone reported having a good laugh :-) I , for one, can use a light diversion shortly before Pesach while digging out the crumbs...

(200) Stacey Cozad, April 8, 2011 2:54 PM

Moses would have had a very busy time on his computer communicating to all of those he was in charge of. He was a very busy man, but he let God instruct him - best reliable communication a person could ever have. Never have to worry about a power failure there!

Excellent. Wonderfully creative.

Too fast to read, absorb & appreciate fully. Would be much better if it were slower. Otherwise superb!

(166) Buddy C., April 7, 2011 11:57 PM

Witty, outstanding but could run a little more slowly.

Running it a little more slowly would make it easier to absorb since the clip is so enjoyable (and educational as well).

I loved it!

(164) Gary, April 7, 2011 11:12 PM

the internet sure helps make exodus accessible!

Very funny and very well done--one of the most clever and imaginative things I've seen--it would be good if it were slower-- as it has so many hilarious bits I'd like to have been able to read better--especially for kids.

Raymond Babcock, April 7, 2011 11:03 PM

Get real

Dorit, April 8, 2011 11:37 AM

I think the same ... but I also would like to have it slowlier ... so for foreigners as me as well. (I looked it twice - but whilst looking it for the second time was stopping again and again - and even repeating little parts ... but it's worth my while, I kept smiling and laughing all the time. Be blessed & Shalom, Shalom.

Leah Rina, April 8, 2011 3:32 AM

Picked up a little more each time through :-)

The future of history has just pulled in -- reductio ad absurdam

(149) Judith, April 7, 2011 8:19 PM

So Childish

Is there any way to present the story so it doesn't sound so childish??/

Robert, April 7, 2011 8:55 PM

Hi Judith, I don't think it's meant to be a serious textual analysis of the Book of Exodus- it's just a light-heartened piece. What's wrong with that?

Bayla Shosha, April 7, 2011 9:12 PM

Less Childish

The whole point is to tell the story TO our children...so, childish is the best way, plus it is humorous. Go study the haggadah, the Torah, etc. and there you will find it not so childish. My teenagers are not home yet - but they are going to eat this up. And that is the idea... When you are telling a story for 2,000years, you have to find ways to spice it up.

(148) Shahid Mahmood, April 7, 2011 7:59 PM

Exceeeeeelent presentation,nice job done.

(139) yehudit levy, April 7, 2011 6:05 PM

Go AISH!

absolutely brilliant. not only for the Jewish market, I think it will be an international hit: expect to see it on the major networks soon: shows how we Jews have a great sense of humour and even when we are being missiled and threatened with nuclear genocide and blamed for the lack of world peace, we sit down and make ourselves laugh to celebrate our festivals. Noone can get us down, EVER!!!!

(138) Paul ~ Santa Rosa Ca., April 7, 2011 6:04 PM

to fast

sure would be nice if this was slower so I could get all the cleverness.

(133) Margaret Wilson, April 7, 2011 5:17 PM

Today's Plagues

I agree with William. I think it is way past time for not just Israel but the world to take a stand. The United States needs to show that it will not tolerate terrorism anywhere in the world. Jews are one of the true minorities (less than 0.3% of the world population) and it is time that we stop being treated as oppressors.

(132) Anonymous, April 7, 2011 5:11 PM

Very Cool

(122) guest, April 7, 2011 3:37 PM

electricity is needed fror computers...

...which would have meant damming the Red Sea rather than parting it, and a whole new story would have had to be written, if Moses had Facebook!

(112) Brian, April 7, 2011 3:44 AM

Why not?

Like everything else that been reduced to what we learn on the internet, this sums up Pesach in true internet fashion.

Laurie Claus, April 7, 2011 3:50 PM

Great to start the day with laughter!

Thanks for reminding, uplifting again on many levels.

Awesome!

Technology is fab!

(108) William Witchel, April 7, 2011 2:47 AM

Let My People Go!

It is past time for Israel to take a stand. It must send an open message to Hamas that Israel will visit plagues upon Gaza if Shalit is not released immediately, alive and healthy. Mention that if this is not done, that the next day ALL food will cease being allowed into Gaza. If Shalit is still not released unharmed, the next day's plague will be the cut off of electricity into Gaza. Follow up with one more plague each day - cut water supplies, nobody sick in Gaza will be allowed into Israel for medical treatment, and the list will go on until Shalit is released unharmed and healthy.

Uziel, April 7, 2011 1:19 PM

Great Idea. Run for PM, I'll send you votes

William, You are very smart, a pity the politicians don't have your brains.

Sarah L., April 7, 2011 2:13 PM

LOL

Your message is SO UNCIVILIZED!

lisa, April 8, 2011 11:50 AM

duh?

"Uncivilized" is no rational reasoning, no modern & CIVILIZED way of life, no priorities re morals & wanting others dead! that's UNCIVILIZED! Wanting normal, in a smart & creative way - VERY CIVILIZED!

Anonymous, April 8, 2011 11:52 AM

uncivilized??

Running around like animals - uncivilized! Barbaric behaviour - uncivilized! Having a tiny strip of desert land & creating modern & up to date EVERYTHING - VERY CIVILIZED!

Esther, April 7, 2011 2:47 PM

Love it!

Was done extremely well!

Anonymous, April 7, 2011 4:02 PM

israel should do somthing allready

yes I am for it all the way we have to do it know

Michael, April 7, 2011 4:24 PM

Right on!

It is time to take off the kid gloves and play hard ball like they do! Fair is fair, and Israel is not being treated fairly! How would Hamas like that to happen to them??????

Chava, April 7, 2011 5:09 PM

Sounds good to me!

Great idea. Sadly it would never happen.

vivian, April 7, 2011 6:08 PM

William Witchel is 100% right.

Great idea william witchel, let us implement it immediately, this is the only way to deal with them!!

yara hallmish, April 7, 2011 8:24 PM

may be you have to be out side israel to understend what we realy have to do for gilad

(107) Debbie, April 7, 2011 2:40 AM

Really enjoyed the updated version,thanks!

(106) Ahuvah, April 7, 2011 2:08 AM

A Hit

We laughed and we sent it to *everybody.* And that's the point, isn't it. So funny, and I like all the side jokes, too, like the number of plagues and plagues in bulk and "street view" of the Splitting of the Sea ... This one's a winner.

(105) sarah, April 7, 2011 1:53 AM

so so well done. kudos.

(104) Anonymous, April 7, 2011 1:53 AM

Good Job!

(103) Bob, April 7, 2011 1:26 AM

WRONG!!!!

Last week, Aish had an article about all the anti-Jew, anti-Israel stuff on FACEBOOK... now you publish humorous articles about Facebook. MAKE UP YOUR MIND...Are these places EVIL or NOT. It's time to circle the wagons and wake up!

Ruchama, April 7, 2011 10:59 PM

Facebook

im not sure aish's stand was that social communication through facebook is evil. Rather, using it as a tool to spread hatred, and the fact that others can standby while this is done is and evil act...just my thoughts

(102) Sandy E, April 7, 2011 1:12 AM

Don't know when I've laughed so hard

I had to keep pausing this to reveal the rich detail on each slide. Bravo!!!!

(101) Donna Perel, April 7, 2011 12:54 AM

Awesome!!!!!!

My sides still hurt from laughing. WOW!

(100) rozie, April 6, 2011 11:08 PM

(97) Maxine J.Bersch-Lovern, April 6, 2011 8:52 PM

The twenty-first century verson of the Exodus

This is entertaining and imaginative--and you are a gifted storyteller! I am a storyteller and I find all of the fantastic items added for authenticity an almost impossible feat! Thank you.

(96) Anonymous, April 6, 2011 8:39 PM

Fact Check

"Yam Suf" is the Sea of Reeds, not the Red Sea.

(95) levi, April 6, 2011 7:55 PM

2 tablets were SQUARE

the 2 tablets were not round. thats a cristian depiction

Anonymous, April 6, 2011 11:27 PM

ha THAT is the only inaccurate thing you can find in this whole movie?! that moshe used facebook to communicate with pharoah- now that's okay. but seriously speaking though, you are correct, but somehow the "round look" managed to infiltrate to jewish designs as well. while it's not an accurate depiction, it's not forbidden either. it just became the symbol of the tablets. many even permit the design in their shuls.

(94) evie, April 6, 2011 7:50 PM

(93) Mark, April 6, 2011 7:22 PM

I have seen this now twice before, but never commented. It is brilliant! Thank you for putting this together. Have you done anymore of the most well known religious stories?

(86) Sam, April 6, 2011 6:42 PM

Cheap: has nothing to do with what Passover is really about!

Lowest common denominator pandering.

jamie, April 7, 2011 3:21 AM

sam lighten up!

sam this is how we can reach the unaffiliated! this film is getting out there and reaching people who have no connection to pesach - just read the comments on this film

Anonymous, April 7, 2011 11:02 PM

Passover Connection

nowadays we tend to think of Passover as long seders (meals), matza, many food restrictions (x bread), but in reality its to remember the exodus, and where we were as a people in slavery, who we were up against (pharoh) and how god orchestrated our liberation (Moses, Plagues, Split Sea) - all points mentioned in the movie

(85) ruchama, April 6, 2011 6:38 PM

give us more like that!

and I like how it went so fast. you can be sure everyone will be clicking numerous times. thanks!

(84) Netanel, April 6, 2011 6:35 PM

(71) Anonymous, April 6, 2011 3:13 PM

Best video -EVER- from aish

How about taking it a step further....Have an optional link with written "footnotes" to explain all the subtleties. The writer would explain the Midrashim, how we know the dates, the references to Goshen and sextuplets etc

Looks great!

I'm a Christian, but a Jewish friend posted a link to this. I found it very interesting -- though not being Jewish, I heard the occasion term that was a bit difficult to decipher. But learning is good for a person ... I think maybe our Creator designed it like that.

(8) Rahel, April 4, 2011 12:55 PM

Spot on!

This is spot on and brilliant! Just one quibble: there's no mention of Moses's initial resistance. I would have suggested something like this: Moses: But I have a speech problem. God: And who do you think made speech? Dude, don't argue -- GO!

(7) Debbie Shapiro, April 4, 2011 12:12 PM

Is there any way to slow this a bit, I'm not catching everything...
