Lyrics

Great video! Is it possible to get the lyrics to the Passover Rhapsody?

(141) Anonymous, April 6, 2012 3:16 AM

Clever and Cute but Production Values Could be Better

I must say that I laughed or at least smiled through much of this and salute the goofy inspiration that led to appropriating Bohemian Rhapsody for Passover. Having said that, the song was a bit too edited for my taste and I felt the production values could have been higher. I think using actual actors (human) would have been far funnier. Still, Kol Hakavod! And Chag Sameach!

(140) Rev. Linda Wescott, April 5, 2012 7:11 PM

I love it!!

Ingenious, funny but tasteful! And it tells the story! I put it on my facebook. And it doesn't hurt that I love that song by Queen! Blessed Passover!

(135) vivian, April 4, 2012 8:43 PM

very bad puppets

great music(not your fault) but the puppets are so uggly and tasteless. Would not dare to send such a primitive and non esthetical representation to my friends.

(109) Ahron Weiss, April 3, 2012 3:09 PM

WOULD WE DO A FINGER PUPPET SHOW OF THE HOLOCAUST?

Very good and I like Bohemian Rhapsody. My issue is it waters down the story of Pesach. What we endured as slaves was unthinkable! Would we portray the holocaust with puppets? We have to teach our kids that this was REAL and it was HORRIBLE!

Lisa, April 10, 2012 11:43 AM

CHILL!!

Either sing along or go grate some horseradish....

(108) David Reich, April 3, 2012 3:08 PM

Bless you, Aish.

Now I know what it means when we make a Kiddush HaShem for our own people. I feel very inspired. Thanks to everyone at Aish.

video going viral

There's a video that's now going viral of a drunken man in the back of a police car belting out Bohemian Rhapsody. I hope everyone searching for that video finds this Aish video!!

laurie, April 2, 2012 12:06 AM

Louise Doan, March 29, 2012 9:48 PM

Created with creativity.

I just watched this and Aish's maybe even shorter "movie". What incrediable abilities and creativity you bring to us, reminding us of God: His love, protection and the Torah to walk in. Does not God take us well beyond simply existing- into a vibrant life? As with Passover and with David, God still continues to reach out to us: restoring out souls, and leading us on paths of righteousness-for His Names sake (see Psalms 23:3). Thank You Aish.

(78) Anonymous, March 29, 2012 1:10 PM

adorable ! but how to put subtitles in other langages , french for instance ? thanks a lot for your works and realisation

(52) Wassim, March 28, 2012 9:14 AM

Wonderful production - old story with a modern context

I myself will choose to go back to Egypt (the modern "reality" of fulltime employment) to earn a living! so, if I'm not back again, this time tomorrow... carry on, carry on. I will make the time to 'get the Torah' on Saturdays and as usual Aish.com is a great place to do that. It will take me a while before I can rely on my own business for a good income, but that's the price I must pay for procrastinating/having fun in my youth. (Choose what you like, you will have regrets either way - Socrates)

CG, April 2, 2014 3:23 AM

I disagree with that quote. It's true that when choosing you will always gain something and lose something else, but it's not true this you will necessarily have regrets. If you make the right choices - that is, choosing truth, and choosing to do G-d's will - you will NEVER have regrets, only happiness and joy and pride and victory. Even if things turn out differently than you wanted - that is from G-d and is meant to be the way it is; as long as you chose to do G-d's will, you chose well - no regrets are appropriate!

(51) Mark, March 28, 2012 9:01 AM

(25) Belinda, March 27, 2012 6:23 PM

Great way to tell biblical history

What a great reenactment for all ages! I would have never guessed that Bohemian Rhapsody could be used to present the Passover story.

(24) Natana Pesya Kulakofski, March 27, 2012 6:05 PM

Wonderful theologians

Don't you just love how when making comments on here everyone has to suddenly become experts in theology as well as in hatefulness? Be real people. Just love our story and get over yourselves.

(15) Ed Rich, March 27, 2012 4:22 PM

This was wonderfully done. Will be sharing it with everyone. Thank you!

(7) Rivkah, March 27, 2012 3:21 PM

why the nose?

Is it necessary to exaggerate a nose to represent Jewishness???? The story should cover Moses' being a Jew.......not his Pinocchio nose. I find it distasteful and offensive.

Anonymous, March 27, 2012 4:08 PM

Too sensitive

His nose could have been any size. Why focus on it "being Jewish"? Perhaps you are projecting???

Pharoh, March 27, 2012 4:25 PM

Nose

Pharoh had a bigger nose!

bob, March 27, 2012 7:18 PM

lighten up Rivka

No, the Eygptian with the boils had a bigger nose :-) I guess you got a bit of a chip there Rivkale

don, March 27, 2012 4:36 PM

IT'S A PUPPET!

Patty Allen, March 27, 2012 5:32 PM

We Jews are known for our sense of humor.

Get over it Rivkah! If we weren't able to laugh we wouldn't have survived.

Anonymous, March 27, 2012 7:21 PM

c'mon Rivkah

They're puppets... have you ever seen a puppet look realistic? It's supposed to be a characterization! I think the puppets are very well made and creative.

Bismilach, March 27, 2012 10:05 PM

Magnifico o o no, no, no, no!

The better to smell with. Great creativity, I lived it.

Anonymous, March 30, 2012 7:52 AM

noses

No Rivka please don't feel that way. We do tend to have big noses we Jewish people. My grandfather z"l had a very large nose, and he was one of the nicest people ever. I thought of him when I saw that Puppet representing Moshe Rabbeinu.

Lisa, April 1, 2012 11:35 AM

The nose????

This is what you focus on??? Anyway rumor has it that the Egyptians had bigger noses than the Jews!!!! OY, imagine that!!!

(6) Anonymous, March 27, 2012 3:18 PM

Brilliant but it was G-d not the Angel of Death who killed the firstborn.
