Because social justice work is of great importance to our BAS community, we have a large and diverse committee of congregants that discusses, organizes and leads our community in participating in activities to help repair the world. We pursue activities in three important ways — education, advocacy and hands-on service. Such a multi-faceted approach ensures that we engage minds, hearts and hands in our efforts and that we provide a range of options for our congregants to participate in this important work. We focus our efforts broadly on immigration, racial justice, the environment and hunger/homelessness.
