Craft Show: The Light That Persisted
On Sunday morning, November 22nd, our second weekend of Chanukah events began with our Rabbi discussing how the light that persists is us. He showed some of his own spectacular menorah collection and spoke of how we are like the menorah: we all have our own individual lights, that are not subsumed by, but contribute to a larger collective light. Peter Ackerman brought us into the studios of Renee and Howard Vichinsky who are ceramicists, and Amalia Flaisher who works with recycled glass. Afterwards attendees were able to visit all twelve artists in their studios, as well as shop. Shopping as well as viewing videos of the artists continues on betamshalomcraftshow.org 24/7. The Chanukah show continues through November 29th.
