Havdalah with Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom
Building Bridges: Havdalah with the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom was held the evening of November 10, 2018. We invited our Muslim sisters from our Westchester chapters, as well as their families and friends, to join Bet Am Shalom members to share Havdalah, activities, light snacks and desserts. The Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom (SOSS) builds strong relationships between Muslim and Jewish women based on developing trust and respect, ending anti-Muslim and anti-Jewish sentiment, and standing up to bigotry and hatred. The organization is based on local chapters, with approximately 130 chapters across the US and Canada. We are fortunate to have several active chapters in Westchester County.
