Meals in a Jar, Fall 2021
On November 7, 2021 with the guidance of our Director of Family Engagement, Lisa Jacobs, Torah La’am students, grades K-6, parents, and teens learned about Food Insecurity and our Jewish imperative to provide for those in need. Participants made over 100 meals in a jar for clients of El Centro Hispano to be distributed, along with homemade cards from our Kitah Nitzanim (K-2), and children’s winter jackets donated by Torah La’am families, in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
We are so grateful for our partnership with El Centro and for the opportunity to contribute to our Westchester community. Feliz dia de accion de gracias! Happy Thanksgiving!” The meals were distributed on November 18.
