Peace Island
Bring Light Into The Darkness was a peaceful interfaith gathering on December 14, 2023 at Bet Am Shalom Synagogue in the spirit of unity and our common humanity. Present were our own clergy, Rabbi Less Bronstein and Cantor Benjie Ellen Schiller, Rabbi Billy Dreskin and Cantor Ellen Dreskin, formerly of Woodlands Community Temple, Reverend Erwin Lee Trollinger, Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in White Plains, Emre Celik and Adam Bulent, executive directors of Peace Island Institute, BAS President Jon Gerstel and founding members of our local chapter of Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, Annette Rotter (BAS member) and Akifa Saha. There were other speakers, clergy and many attendees. It was a beautiful and uplifting evening. Photographs are by Felicia Lebewohl Rosen.
