Sukkah Hop & Hunt

Let's celebrate Sukkot together with a hunt and fun activities!

BAS members, pick up your easy-to-use activity bag by the BAS sukkah between 9am-4pm, then do the hunt anytime between 11:30am-5pm.

Drive to BAS and five members' homes to search for objects at each sukkah and enjoy creative activities to celebrate Sukkot!

At BAS we'll admire model sukkot made by congregants of all ages.

We’ll follow social distancing guidelines--bring your masks.

More ways to celebrate Sukkot:

  • Model Sukkah Challenge for all ages: create your own model sukkah (up to two feet in each dimension: length, width, and height). Check out these images for inspiration: Sukkah City and Sukkahville.  Your sukkah should have at least 3 walls and the roof should be open enough to see the stars. You can design your sukkah to reflect a Sukkot value, such as hospitality, joy, nature, agriculture in Israel, gratitude, or temporary shelter. Write up a description of your design and attach it to your model. Bring your model to BAS on 10/4 between 9am-noon for our exhibit. You could also drop off your model sukkah at BAS on Friday, 10/2, if you are coming to Shabbat Kulanu. Contact Abby Reiken with questions or to arrange another time to drop off your model sukkah.

  • Having a sukkah at your home builds lasting memories for your family. You can order your sukkah from a variety of vendors, including sukkot.com and sukkah.com.  Financial assistance is available confidentially. Contact Rabbi Bronstein for more information.  Need help ordering or assembling your sukkah? Contact Education Director Abby Reiken.
